On October 1, 2025, the first day of China’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, national highway charging reached 17.4858 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 41.95%, setting a new record high. To cope with the peak charging season, various regions have not only increased the deployment of mobile charging stations but also expanded the use of digital platforms to accurately assess charging demand during different time periods and enable flexible scheduling of charging equipment. The National Energy Administration stated that it will continue to strengthen the monitoring and scheduling of charging facilities, improve charging efficiency at highway service areas, and further ensure the charging needs of new energy vehicles during the holiday.
