South Korean automaker Kia has reached a new milestone in electric mobility by expanding its Kia Charge service to include access to more than one million EV charging points across Europe. The expansion strengthens Kia’s position as one of the most accessible charging service providers in the region, offering seamless cross-country connectivity for electric vehicle drivers.
Through partnerships with major European charging operators, Kia Charge users can now locate, access, and pay for charging at over a million public chargepoints using a single account and mobile app. The service supports a range of charging speeds, from standard AC units to high-speed DC stations, ensuring flexibility for both daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
“Expanding Kia Charge to one million stations demonstrates our commitment to convenience and sustainability for EV drivers,” said a Kia spokesperson. “We want to make zero-emission mobility practical and accessible across the continent.”
The Kia Charge platform consolidates multiple network providers into one unified system, simplifying billing and eliminating the need for multiple subscriptions. It also includes real-time station availability, route planning tools, and transparent pricing.
Kia’s latest initiative reflects the company’s broader strategy to accelerate electrification and enhance infrastructure support for its growing EV lineup, including models like the EV6 and EV9.
As Europe continues to push toward carbon neutrality, Kia’s integrated approach to charging access represents another key step in building a robust, user-friendly electric vehicle ecosystem.
